London born up and coming actor Kwame Augustine has been developing his craft from a young age and has since featured in campaigns for MTV and VA Garments and has also starred in TV series, Manhunt: Kill or Capture.

After exploring a number of screen roles, as well as various fashion campaigns, Augustine decided to address the issues of diversity in entertainment and write and produce his own screenplay and stage production with support from Theatre Royal Stratford East’s new writers programme. The 26 year old created Johnny – a dark comedy which challenges ideas on mental health, race, gender, class and sexuality. The show, in which Augustine will play the lead role, debuts on August 8 this year at The Bridewell Theatre.
